This verse could not have come at a better time. Our head football coach resigned unexpectedly (who I coached with) last week and parents have been looking to point the finger at someone. They want to know why he resigned and if I had anything to do with it. The crazy things is that our school community is a Christian community. It just goes to show you that the devil is everywhere and just because you are in a Christian environment doesn't mean everything is going to be O.K.
Here is my sentence on James 1:2-8
To mature as Christians we need to persevere through our difficult times and remember that if we "whole heartily" call on the Lord for wisdom, He will get us through it.
Boy, don't we ALL need to be praying for wisdom every day. Thank goodness we have God's grace - his undeserved favor. We can receive and use his power - which includes his WISDOM - to live our lives for him. I'm so glad I don't have to depend on my own wisdom!
