Day 14 James 1:2-8

Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. ³For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. ⁴So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.

⁵If you need wisdom—if you want to know what God wants you to do—ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. ⁶But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. ⁷People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. ⁸They can't make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.

James is writing to Christians that are getting persecuted for their faith in Jesus.  It says whenever trouble comes your way...meaning that trouble or trails will come.  Then it says Count it JOY....Joy is your choice when trails or trouble come your way. 

B/c of your trails we are being tested....and testing produces maturity in the faith..and if have wisdom to choose the right way then we will have maturity.   If we don't have wisdom then we need to ask God for it....just a reminder to me that I need to be about praying for wisdom in my life daily....

Ephesians 5:3-5
A Tough verse this morning to read and apply to my life.  God is calling me to live in holiness which is to be set apart from this world.  I think most of the time I try to conform to the world yet God's word tell me to conform to His word.  Father Help me today to do the Hard things in my life as a Christian.

so I won't sin myself bankrupt.

In a world that is not pure how can I stay pure?

I think I know the answer already but I choose not to live it out. As a Christ follower I know that If I obey HIS word and follow HIS word then I will have a clean life. But I try different things in my life before I obey Him and every time it ends in pain.

Father, help me to take hold of you word in my heart so that I will not sin against you. Help me give my whole life to the UNCREATED ONE.

Day 1 Habakkuk 3:17-19
Will I live for HIM and trust in HIM even when ti seems like life is not going my way.  Do I have enough faith to believe that HE will make my feet like a deers feet.  So that I will not be fall or trip when I have to walk up on the HIGH HILLS of my life.
